Saturday National League Odds and Picks
We have a full slate of games on Saturday in the National League. Many of them are early games, so let’s get to it. BetOnline has the odds on today’s match-ups:
Pittsburgh Pirates at New York Mets– Pittsburgh is +1.5 -205 and the Mets are -1.5 +175 ATS. Moneyline has the Pirates +104 and the Mets -114. Over/Under is 7.5 with over +100 and under -120. Is Matt Harvey pitching? No? Then we will go with the Pirates +104 and the over +100.
Colorado Rockies at St. Louis Cardinals– Rockies are +1.5 -145 and the Cards are -1.5 +125 ATS. Moneyline has the Rockies +153 and the Cards -163. Over/under is 7.5 with over -1-5 and under -115. The Cards bullpen is very shaky. We will take the Rockies +153 and the over –105.
Chicago Cubs at Washington Nationals– Cubs are +1.5 -130 and the Nats are -1.5 +110 ATS. Moneyline has the Cubs +182 and the Nats -192. Over/under is 7 with over -115 and under -105. Steven Strasburg is pitching today for the Nationals. It will be interesting to watch and see if he leaves the game with any shoulder soreness. We think he’s not quite right so we’ll go with the Cubbies today +182. and the over –115.
Atlanta Braves at San Francisco Giants- Braves are +1.5 -205 and the Giants are -1.5 +175 ATS. Moneyline is the Braves +115 and the Giants +125. Over/under is 7 with over -105 and under -115. Pat Maholm is having an outstanding year for the Braves, so we will take Atlanta +115 and the under –115.
Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds– Brewers are +1.5 -135 and the Reds are -1.5 +115 ATS. Moneyline has the Brewers +177 and the Reds -187. Over/under is 8 with over -115 and under -105. Both pitchers have good ERAs so we will take the Brewers +1.5 -135 and the under -105.
Philadelphia Phillies at Arizona Diamondbacks- Phillies are +1.5 -220 and the D-Backs are -1.5 +190 ATS. Moneyline has the Phillies -102 and the Snakes -108. Over/under is 8 with over +105 and under -125. We are going to go with the Phillies -102 with Cliff Lee pitching and the under -125.
Miami Marlins at Los Angeles Dodgers– The Marlins are +1.5 -130 while the Dodgers are -1.5 +10 ATS. Moneyline has the Fish +182 and the Dodgers -192. Over/under is 6.5 with over-130 and under +110. It is usually a safe bet to bet against the Marlins, so we’ll go with the Dodgers -192 and the over -130.
