Monday Night Football: Giants Favored On The Road Against Dolphins
The NFC East division title is still up for grabs with three of the four teams in the division in contention to win the title and advance to the NFL playoffs as a result. The New York Giants hope to improve their chances of being playoff bound on Monday night heading on the road to take on the struggling Miami Dolphins.
Both the Dolphins and Giants will come into this game with a 5-7 record. Although they have identical records, New York will be competing for a playoff spot with head coach Tom Coughlin hopes to remain employed.
According to Sportsbook.ag, New York is slightly favored to win their sixth game on the season on Monday night. Eli Manning and company are favored with a -2.5 point spread.
The Giants will attempt to end their three-game skid with a win over the Dolphins on the road while staying alive in the hunt for the NFC East title. The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles are currently sporting 6-7 records after their matchups in Week 14 making this game that much more important for New York.
As for Miami, the Dolphins have lost four of the last six games and are going through the motions to finish out the season. It’s only a matter of time before the New England Patriots win the AFC East division title and cruise into the playoffs leaving Miami with no way to get into the postseason with the AFC Wild Card seemingly out of reach.
With the Giants having something on the line and the experience to bounce back, New York will likely come into this game motivated and ready to come away with the win. Taking the Giants at -2.5 is a solid bet in this Monday Night Football matchup.
