Mountain West: Week 7 Trends and Odds Preview
San Diego State scored three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter last night to beat the Air Force Falcons 27-20 and improve to 3-3 on the season. San Diego State’s kickers struggled all night long, missing two extra points and a field goal, leading head coach Rocky Long to dread a potential late kick. However, his team’s offense got going, and he didn’t need to worry about it.
“Because our kickers had been so poor all day long,” Long explained. “It was going to be a tough decision. I’m very happy, because if we’d have gotten it down to the 5-yard line, and it was going to be fourth down, it was going to be a heck of a hard decision.”
