Muhammad Ali Hospitalized in Grave Condition

Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali has reportedly been hospitalized in Phoenix, where he is being treated for an unknown respiratory problem. Although he was said to have been admitted in “fair” condition, Ali’s condition has been deteriorating.

In recent years Ali has been hospitalized a number of times for issues stemming from Parkinson’s, which he was diagnosed with in the 1980s. Even before the situation began to worsen, this stay was already said to be far more serious than previous.

A source revealed to NBC News that Ali’s family has been gathering at his bedside on Friday—four of his nine children flew in overnight. The Mirror paints the gravest picture, noting doctors fear the end is so near that even transporting Ali within the hospital “could be deadly.”

At this moment the only thing we know with any certainty is that Ali is currently involved in the fight of his life. Let’s hope he’s got one more win in him.
