NBA Eastern Conference Future Odds Update

The NBA basketball season is in full swing. The NBA Eastern Conference has not gone exactly has predicted, so let’s review if the future odds reflect the surprises in thus far in the east.

Miami Heat

11/10

NBA1

Miami Heat are not surprisingly billed as the team most likely to win the NBA Eastern Conference. However, they are off to a rocky start with a 4-3 record and are tied for first place in the Southeast Division. The Heat have been known to storm back when behind in a game and many expect  them to do the same with the season.

For all the Heat’s problems, LeBron James likely pointed out their biggest flaw when talking to the press yesterday after practice.

We’ve been playing like s*** defensively.

The Heat as always had the tendency to play with a kind of nonchalant attitude.  This season they seems to carry this attitude into every defensive play. They Rank 27th in opponent field-goal percentage and rank 21st in the league in points allowed, allowing 100.9 per game. This definitely allows room for improvement.

Indiana Pacers

7/2

NBA2

The Indiana Pacers are undefeated and it is not like they have been playing slouch teams either.  With wins against the Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies, the Pacers are showing that they are the real deal, and they may very well be the best team in the NBA.  The Odds are not reflecting it, but many have the Pacers not the Heat as the early favorites to win the Eastern Conference.

Chicago Bulls

4/1

NBA3

The Chicago Bulls were expected to make a big splash with the return of Derrick Rose. However, the Bulls are hanging at .500 and are having trouble with chemistry.  After having a great season, the teams seems to be in need of readjusting to the return of D-Rose.

It is not time to panic for the Bulls.  Rose will return to an MVP-level of play and the team will become cohesive and be legit contenders.  That is why they have the third best odds to win the NBA Eastern Conference.
