NBA Future Odds: Warriors Cannot Be Toppled

The Golden State Warriors are still sitting on top of the NBA future odds. They have been there for nearly the entire season and no one even seems close to dethroning the defending NBA champions.

The Warriors are -140 favorites to win. The next closest team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, seem to be a footnote in the conversation with a +325 moneyline.

The Warriors are NBA Championship favorites for a reason. Of the 59 games the Warriors have played up to this point, they have won 54 of them. Against the spread, they have covered in 30 games. Over half of those games they have covered in (17) have been road games.

Everyone else is merely just trying to compete with the Warriors. The Cavs dropped their first meeting the Warriors by a huge margin. Lebron James led the Cavs to the NBA Finals last season but the squad was dealing with a handful of injuries and fell short. They are hoping to stay healthy and make it back to the big dance and somehow overcome the seemingly unstoppable Warriors.

The Spurs is Golden State’s biggest competition in the West. They too dropped their first game of the season against Golden State. The veteran squad may be saving some tricks for the postseason.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the next closest team to breaking into the top three in terms of the odds and talent. Both Kevin Durrant and Russell Westbrook need to stay healthy in order for their championship hopes to become a reality.
