NBA Preseason Team Props And Future Odds
It may just be the preseason, but the NBA special team props and future odds are up and waiting to be bet on. The odds are unlikely to change much between now and the opening of the season on Tuesday, October 28 when the defending NBA champions, the San Antonio Spurs host the Dallas Mavericks. Not a lot can be told by the preseason, as players shake off their court rust.
Exemplified by this, the odds did not punish the Cleveland Cavilers after LeBron James did this:

Yes, that is LeBron James setting up a screen for his old team, the Miami Heat, and throwing the ball out of bounds during a preseason game. Yet the Cavs are the team with the best odds of winning it all and have the highest win totals still. In other words, preseason play does not really impact the odds unless a major injury springs up.
Kevin Durant, for example, is expected to miss six weeks or more of the regular season due to an injury suffered during the post season. The Oklahoma City Thunder have not completely falling out of favor with the sportsbooks, it is only six weeks, after all, but the Chicago Bulls did surpass in the odds to win an NBA Championship.
The top five teams with the best odds at an NBA Championship are the favorites by a long shot. After the fifth team, the LA Clippers, with 8/1 odds, the Mavericks are next with 20/1 odds.
