NBA Rumors: Jahlil Okafor Informed Of Teams He May Be Traded To Before Deadline
The Philadelphia 76ers may be one of the more active teams heading toward the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 23. All signs seem to be pointing to the team trading the No. 3 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Jahlil Okafor.
Although no trade has come to fruition while speculation continues to run rampant about Okafor’s status with the team, the Duke product has been notified of teams Philadelphia has been having trade talks with, according to Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype:
Source: Jahlil Okafor was informed that the 76ers have had trade talks with the Bulls, Pelicans, Blazers and Nuggets. Discussions ongoing.

Okafor, despite being labeled a potential franchise player last year, is by all indications on his way out of Philadelphia. The 76ers appear content building around breakout star Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons who has yet to play a single minute in his rookie season due to a foot injury.
The frontcourt of Okafor, Embiid, and Nerlens Noel just doesn’t seem to be working for Philadelphia, and they’ll look to sell high on the 21-year-old while they still can.
Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, however, can be taken off the list of interested teams due to the recent trade the two teams made. Miles Plumlee now heads to Denver and Portland receives Jusuf Nurkic in exchange. Okafor likely no longer fits in either equation for the Blazers and Nuggets.
The most likely destination appears to be the New Orleans Pelicans. The team has been looking for a center to pair with superstar Anthony Davis, and the former Blue Devil may fit the bill in the Big Easy.
