NBA Rumors: Trade Speculation Sparked By Potential Markelle Fultz Workout For Kings
Washington Huskies star Markelle Fultz is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft. Fultz despite playing a team that failed to make the NCAA Tournament, was able to do enough during his freshman season in Washington that he appears to be the consensus top pick, but that may change.
According to Ailene Voisin of The Sacramento Bee, the Kings will get a workout with Fultz sparking speculation that a trade involving the Boston Celtics may be on the horizon:

Ever since the draft order was set in the NBA Draft Lottery last month, the Celtics, who own the top spot come June 22, and Fultz and seemingly been a perfect match. Fultz has publicly said he wants to go to Boston and the team seems open to the idea, but trade calls may be coming with intriguing options for the Celtics.
The Kings are an interesting team right now because of the fact they have two picks in the first 10 selections on draft day. Sacramento currently owns the No. 5 and 10 picks in the first round and are said to covet point guard De’Aaron Fox out of Kentucky who they may not be able to get at fifth overall.
With a couple of weeks left leading up to the draft on June 22, it’ll be interesting to see how things change regarding whether the Kings try to make a move for the top pick or if Fultz does indeed end up going to the Celtics at No. 1.
