NBA All-Star Game: Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry Favorites For MVP
The 2017 NBA All-Star Game is only a few days away with some of the league’s elite players set to go head-to-head while representing their respective conferences.
With the Western and Eastern Conferences set to do battle, the talk turns to which player among the league’s elite class will earn All-Star Game MVP honors when it is all said on done on Sunday in New Orleans at Smoothie King Arena.
Although there’s plenty of candidates to come away with the MVP award this year, two have separated themselves from the pack, according to the oddsmakers at Bovada.lv. Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry are currently the favorites with Kevin Durant’s former teammate slightly favored ahead of his current teammate.

The most interesting storyline coming into the All-Star Game on Sunday is Westbrook and Kevin Durant playing alongside one another once again. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will also be calling the shots for the Western Conference All-Stars making things that much more interesting.
Westbrook will likely have the added motivation of showing up his former teammate, especially if they ever see the floor at the same time in New Orleans. Westbrook as won All-Star MVP honors the last two years.
The first Eastern Conference participant on the list of odds for All-Star Game MVP is no surprise with Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James coming in at 7/1 followed by his teammate Kyrie Irving (15/2).
