Bradley Beal agrees to deal with Clippers after Suns buyout

The Bradley Beal saga with the Phoenix Suns has officially come to an end after agreeing to a buyout.

After becoming an unrestricted free agent and being able to sign with whatever team he wants in the league, Beal has chosen to take his talents to the LA Clippers.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Beal has inked a two-year deal with the Clippers.

Three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal has agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and plans to join the LA Clippers on a two-year, $11 million deal with a player option after he clears waivers, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN on Wednesday.

Beal reportedly had many interested teams in his services, with the Clippers emerging as the favorite ahead of his buyout. The Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves were the other teams in the running to sign the veteran scorer.

It might’ve been James Harden that sealed the deal for the Clippers in terms of landing Beal on this two-year deal.

Harden played a vital role in recruiting Beal to the Clippers, speaking directly to him and his camp, sources said.

The Clippers have had a busy offseason, as Tyronn Lue’s squad has made several significant moves in its attempt to become a legitimate title contender in the very competitive Western Conference during the 2025-26 NBA season.

Along with signing Beal, the Clippers have brought in Brook Lopez and John Collins, upgrading their frontcourt and backcourt. There’s also a chance Chris Paul signs with the team for what will be his farewell tour.
