Bulls’ revamped roster makes Zach LaVine ‘more confident and ready to play’

The Chicago Bulls experienced a busy offseason that saw them bring forth plenty of proven talents.

The front office acquired Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Alex Caruso that has shifted the dynamic in Chicago. After an encouraging showing in the season opener, All-Star guard Zach LaVine voiced much optimism concerning the future of the franchise.

“I’m always confident. I put the work in but having this dude next to me (DeMar DeRozan), having Vooch next to me, that just makes me more confident and more ready to play,” LaVine said. “We have a bunch of dogs on the team now and guys that will step up for each other so I’m really excited, but a win’s a win and we’re going to go forward from here.”

The Bulls hold a strong collective group of veteran talent and youth that could elevate the team toward serious playoff contention. LaVine will play a significant part in the puzzle, while the team’s offseason additions will be major factors.

The Bulls only stand to benefit from the offseason additions that have brought more stability to the roster. There will be an adjustment period as the team further adjusts and builds chemistry with the new pieces.

DeRozan brings another proven score with the ability to playmake as a distributor, while Ball adds a strong passing presence and a stout defender at his position. Caruso is regarded as one of the league’s top defensive guards while he’s brought steady play that has already made him a quick fan favorite in Chicago.
