Celtics star Marcus Smart has officially been cleared by doctors
NBA stars were not immune to contracting the coronavirus before we were all put on lockdown in this country. Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics is one of those players along with Kevin Durant, Rudy Gobert, Christian Wood, and Donovan Mitchell, but it appears he has now been cleared by doctors, via ESPN.
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart, who tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago, has been cleared by the Massachusetts Department of Health, he announced Sunday on social media.
Smart isn’t the only one in the sports world to be cleared by doctors after testing positive for the coronavirus. Along with Smart, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has been cleared along with Gobert, Wood, and Mitchell.

Although some players and coaches are recovering, the coronavirus pandemic continuing to keep the sports world in a hiatus. All the major sports leagues have closed their doors until it is safe to resume play once again this year. There’s still no telling how long that hiatus may be for the NBA or any of the other leagues impacted by this disease. However there could be a couple more months ahead without games or events due to this problem around the country.
As for the Celtics, Boston hopes to continue being one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference once the season gets back underway.
