Clippers bring in ‘relentless competitor’ Joakim Noah
The LA Clippers have put together a promising season that has put them well in the mix to contend for an NBA title.
That has seen them continue to operate like a team that is gunning for a championship by adding more veteran pieces to the puzzle. The Clippers added yet another prove player to the mix with signing big man Joakim Noah to a 10-day contract. (H/T Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk)
“Joakim is a relentless competitor and a proven winner,” said Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank. “His experience, acumen, and toughness fit well in our locker room.”

The addition of Noah helps beef up the frontcourt for the final push towards the playoffs. Although he isn’t exactly an offensive factor, he has proven throughout his career that he can be a high-impact player on defense that includes earning a Defensive Player of the Year award. He has also shown to be a playmaker with his passing.
Noah will likely play in a limited role off the bench helping provide more depth at the center position alongside Ivica Zubac and Montrezl Harrell. The Clippers are currently holding the second overall spot in the Western Conference standings, sitting 6.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the top overall spot.

With a fourth of the season still left to play, the Clippers will likely slowly work Noah in the mix so that he can be a factor on the floor come playoff time. Nonetheless, this move adds another element to the mix for the Clippers’ more stacked roster.
