Five teams linked to Kevin Durant in trade talks
The Phoenix Suns and superstar Kevin Durant will inevitably part ways during the NBA offseason, with the future Hall of Famer working with the team on facilitating a trade elsewhere.
Although Durant isn’t the same dominant force of all or in the conversation for the best player in the league, the veteran forward can still be a game-changer for a title-contending team in the NBA.

Durant’s representation and the Suns’ leadership have met multiple times recently to discuss the immediate future, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
The Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant’s business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, have met multiple times over the past week and are sifting through trade scenarios, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.
The two sides are expected to work together on potential destinations.
According to Charania, five teams in particular have expressed interest in Durant, with a few of these teams being title contenders.
Teams that have expressed interest in Durant, sources said, mainly feature the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks. Several wild-card suitors have made inquiries on Durant in the past seven to 10 days, sources said.
There are a few interesting scenarios here for Durant, as he could be playing alongside either Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Brunson, Bam Adebayo, Anthony Edwards, or playing for fiery head coach Ime Udoka.
Every team listed stands to vastly improve, especially offensively, with the addition of Durant. Only time will tell which one of these teams can pull off the trade for the two-time NBA champion and what that will mean for the rest of the league.
