Hawks Need a Win in Game Three
Tonight, the Atlanta Hawks return home for Game Three of their best of seven series with the Indiana Pacers. The Hawks need a win to avoid going down 3-0 in the series. A 3-0 hole is nearly impossible to dig out of. Only a handful of teams in pro sports have ever managed to do it, and none of those happened in the NBA.
The Hawks were blasted in both games in Indiana, losing Game one by 17 and Game Two by 15. Paul George had had two huge games for the Pacers with 23 and 27 points. He had a triple double in Game One as it appears the Hawks cannot stop him. George Hill is also averaging 20 points in the series as well.
The Hawks sorely miss center Zaza Pachulia, who went down with a torn Achilles late in the season. They may have to go with little used Johan Petro at center, just to get some size in there to compete with the Pacers bigs of George and Roy Hibbert.
The Hawks are going to need big games from Josh Smith, Al Horford and Jeff Teague on Saturday, and some threes from Kyle Korver off the bench would also be nice.
BetOnline has odds on the game as well as the other three NBA games on tap for Saturday.
