J.J. Redick wants Pelicans to trade him to one of four Eastern Conference teams
The New Orleans Pelicans haven’t made much progress this season. This is despite being one of the most talented young NBA teams led by Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
With the Pelicans struggling as the second-worst team in the Western Conference record-wise, veteran sharpshooter J.J. Redick has seen enough and wants to be traded. He’s already got a shortlist of teams he’d like to be traded to, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

He has not played well and not happy and wants to be traded. Would really like to be traded to the Northeast, where his offseason home is in Brooklyn. He’d love to go to Brooklyn, the Knicks, Boston or Philly. That has been communicated out there. It’s been known for a week or two.
Although Redick hasn’t had his best season in New Orleans during the 2020-21 campaign, the Pelicans guard will still attract title contenders around the league looking for a shooter of his caliber.

The Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers could definitely use Redick as they are without a doubt in title contention in the Eastern Conference this season. The New York Knicks are also an intriguing destination as they could very well make the playoffs this season.
In 16 games this season, Redick has averaged 7.9 points per game while shooting a disappointing career-low 29.8 percent from beyond the arc. Redick’s previous career-low from deep was 36.6 percent to put in perspective how much of a dropoff his numbers from distance have been so far this season.
