Magic at Suns and Spurs at Lakers in Pacific Action

spurslakers-wrThe Los Angeles Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs in a game where they will try to play a spoilers role. The Phoenix Suns will host the Orlando Magic in a game that has importance to their playoff hopes. Orlando will play the spoiler in that one.

While most of the basketball watching world will lose focus on the NBA for the next couple of weeks, a lot of important games will be played. Tonight is no exception. The Spurs hold a 1.5 game lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference for the top seed and the Suns are 1.5 games out of the eighth spot.

San Antonio is on a 10 game winning streak which is the longest in the conference now that the Los Angeles Clippers have had their 12 game streak snapped by the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The Spurs have quietly gone about winning a lot of games, which is nothing unusual. The Lakers should not put up  much resistance. However, they did take down the Thunder a couple of weeks ago so do not take them too lightly.

The Magic is atrocious on the road and are coming off a loss to the Golden State Warriors just last evening. They are 4-31 away from the Amway Center. Look for the Suns to be able to handle them tonight. Phoenix needs a win in the worst way as they have been playing .500 ball lately while the eighth place Memphis Grizzlies have been playing well.

BetOnline has the odds on tonight’s games:

Orlando at Phoenix– The Magic is +11.5 -110 and the Suns are -11.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Orlando +670 and the Suns are -880. We like Phoenix -11.5 -110. Orlando is awful on the road and should be a tired after a long trip from the Bay area.

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers– The Spurs are -13 -110 and the Lakers are +13 -110 ATS. Moneyline is San Antonio -1300 and the Lakers are +900. We are going to go with the Lakers to beat the spread in this one. This might be one of those games they rest their stars. Take the Lakers +13 -110.

The NCAA Tournament will take center stage for the next four days. But in that time, the NBA will play on. There will be a full slate of games this weekend and money won on those spends the same as money won on the Big Dance. So stay with us for all your NBA betting information.
