The franchise is also expected to part ways with rising front-office star Haralabos Voulgaris after rumored tension between him and Luka Doncic. Team owner Mark Cuban denied any internal issues, blasting reports as being false.

The Mavericks want to continue to build the roster around Doncic and will make any decision to appease him. The organization will look to add another piece to the puzzle to guide them toward NBA title contention.

Rumors have already begun to bubble around Kristaps Porzingis being floated around the trade market. Porzingis has struggled to step in firmly as a strong second option next to Doncic. He took a significant step back this past season, with notable struggles defensive and lack of offensive fluidity.

Porzingis demonstrated offensive shortcomings in the first-round playoff series against the LA Clippers, averaging 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 29.6 percent from beyond the arc.

The league interest in the 25-year-old may have dwindled due to his regression this past season. He’s set to enter the third year of his five-year, $158.2 million deal.

Nonetheless, the Mavericks will make a concerted effort to revamp the roster to push the franchise toward title contention. Before the organization can move toward that, Dallas must quickly make the changes to restructure the front office.
