Doncic didn’t play in Saturday’s road game against the Memphis Grizzlies, where Dallas fell short without him and Kyrie Irving, who is working through right foot soreness. The Mavericks sit in a tough spot in the 8th position in the Western Conference standings after dropping seven out of their last 10 games. Dallas is facing the possibility of having to participate in the play-in tournament to secure a playoff spot.
Doncic isn’t expected to miss any extended time, but the losses are starting to push them out of garnering a top-six seed that would avoid the play-in tournament altogether.
