NBA Western Conference Odds and Picks for Tuesday
The Los Angeles Lakers have finally inched their way into the Western Conference Playoffs at the eighth spot. The bad news is they are about to enter a hornet’s nest when they visit the Amway Center on Tuesday night. The Orlando Magic crowd will be in full voice on Tuesday as they will rain down their venom on their former hero Dwight Howard. Howard has never been known as a guy with thick skin, so this could be an issue tonight.
Now throw in the fact that since trading for Tobias Harris and Beno Udrih, and getting Al Harrington and Jameer Nelson back from injury, the Magic is not the patsy now that they have been for most of the season, and this might be a trap game for the Lakers.
Just Bet has odds on tonight’s NBA games:
The Lakers are -8 -110 ATS while the Magic is +8 -110. Moneyline has the Lakers -360 while the Magic is +300. Over/Under is 207 with both at -110.
The Magic will be fired up to play in a playoff atmosphere, the last time that will happen for a while. Lately they have been playing a lot better, beating the Philadelphia 76ers twice and scaring the Miami Heat in Miami, nearly ending their long win streak with a one point loss. The Lakers have struggled on the road all season long, but thet have fought all the way back into the top eight and will not want to give it up so soon.
We like the Magic +8 in this game. We also like the over.
Other games in the Western Conference include:
New Orleans Hornets at Brooklyn Nets- The Nets are -5.5 -110 as the Hornets are +5.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline has the Hornets +185 and the Nets -225. Over/Under is 187. We like the Nets -5.5 in this one as they are coming off a loss last night. We also like the over -110.
Dallas Mavericks at Milwaukee Bucks- Mavs are +2 -110 while Bucks are -2 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Mavericks +110 and Bucks -130. Over/Under is 208 with both -110. This is a big game for the Bucks who need to maintain their lead for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. Dallas is playing out the string. We like the Bucks -2 and the under -110.
San Antonio Spurs at Minnesota Timberwolves- Spurs are -9.5 -10 and T-Wolves are +9.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline has the Spurs -520 and the Wolves +420. Over/under is 194. The Spurs just had a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, so it would be really easy for a let down against the Wolves. We will go with the T-Wolves +9.5 and the under -110.
Memphis Grizzlies at Portland Trail Blazers– The Grizzlies are -1.5 -110 while the Blazers are +1.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Memphis -125 and Portland +105. Over/under is 185.5. We like the Grizzlies -1.5 and the over -110 in this one.
