Feisty veteran guard Patrick Beverley is planning to grant the Dallas Mavericks a recruiting meeting at the June 30 opening of NBA free agency, league sources tell DallasBasketball.com.

Beverley has spent the last two years with the LA Clippers. There, he has further established himself as a viable point guard and piece to the puzzle for a winning team. That should attract plenty of attention on the open market aside from the Clippers. Additionally, the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls are rumored to be teams also interested in his services.

It may just come down to where Beverley believes he fits best for this next chapter of his career. He has voiced that he’s open to returning to the Clippers as he helped them secure the eighth playoff spot and helped them extend their first-round series against the Golden State Warriors to six games.

Following the top-tier market of talent finding their spots in the league, Beverley could be among that next tier of talent at the position to be in the spotlight in the open market.
