Rams Get Crushing News on Davante Adams Following Week 6 Loss
The Los Angeles Rams’ tough start to the season just took another discouraging turn.
A day after the disappointing Week 6 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, head coach Sean McVay revealed a slew of injuries that occurred on Sunday, headlined by star wide receiver Davante Adams suffering a ruptured hamstring that will force him to miss six to 10 weeks.
Adams’ injury occurred on the Rams’ second-to-last offensive play of the game as he was running a route into the end zone in what appeared to be a non-contact situation.
The All-Pro wideout will undergo a procedure to repair the hamstring, and the team is hopeful he can return on the front end of the recovery time frame that would put him back in the mix following the Week 11 bye.
That wasn’t the only injury news for the Rams on Monday, as defensive tackle Poona Ford will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured triceps, while defensive tackle Kobie Turner will miss several weeks because of a groin injury that will land him on the injured reserve.

Newly added kicker Blake Grupe was placed on the injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL. The injury occurred after he attempted to tackle on a kick return in the first quarter following making a 44-yard field goal.
The Rams are expected to quickly find his replacement by working out veteran kickers Brandon McManus and Matt Prater on Tuesday. Los Angeles will look to get back on track on the road on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
