Rich Paul Sends Strong Message About LeBron James’ Free Agency Decision
As the offseason moves along, LeBron James has yet to decide where he will play next season, and it might not be anytime soon.
During the latest episode of the “Game Over” podcast with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul, the longtime agent voiced that the four-time NBA champion won’t be rushed into a decision.
“We’re not going to be rushed,” Paul said via ESPN. “We’re not going to be rushed. It’s his choice to make, and when he makes the choice, he’ll make it.”
Even before Paul’s comments, it was made abundantly clear that James is in no rush to choose his next NBA destination. He hasn’t moved any closer to narrowing his choice, while the prevailing view is that the likely landing spots are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers.
At the same time, the NBA is starting to apply some pressure on James to make his decision soon, as the commissioner emphasized the need to finalize the schedule for the upcoming season.

Paul had seen those remarks and spoke to Silver himself to further clarify that James isn’t going to be rushed into making a decision.
“I saw Adam in New York, and we discussed it,” Paul said. “And like I said, it’s still his choice. So if he doesn’t really know, you can’t rush it. You can’t rush it.”
Time will tell how much longer it will take James to decide where he will play next.
