The Eric Bledsoe era of the Phoenix Suns appears to be coming to an end. Bledsoe recently publicly stated his displeasure with the organization in a tweet, and now the team is taking action by pursuing a trade to send him elsewhere.

According to ESPN’s Chris Haynes, the Suns aren’t wasting any time and have received a lot of interest in Bledsoe thus far.

The general manager is actively engaged with several teams in trade talks for Bledsoe, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, and the team hopes to make a deal soon.

The Suns have already gotten off to a rough start to the 2017-18 NBA season. The team was crushed by the Portland Trail Blazers in their season opener losing by 48 points to Damian Lillard and company.

Phoenix has yet to win a game starting the season 0-3. The Suns lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and L.A. Clippers after dropping their opener by almost 50 to the Blazers.

At this point, it is uncertain what the Suns may get in return for Bledsoe. Initially, the team wanted to build around Bledsoe with many believing he could be a star in this league. Now, the team is more geared toward building the franchise around Devin Booker who has already proven himself as a capable scorer and perhaps one of the best players in the league in that category.

With Bledsoe gone, it will be Booker’s team moving forward as they try to figure things out and right the ship after being one of the league’s worst teams since the end of the Steve Nash-led squad in Phoenix.
