Tyler Herro Breaks Silence on Altercation With Bam Adebayo

Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro is focused on moving forward after his altercation with former longtime teammate Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo last in Las Vegas.

The former Sixth Man of the Year is ready to turn his entire focus on his future with the Bucks.

“Honestly, I’m just trying to move past all of it,” Herro told ESPN. “I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they’ve been doing.”

The situation in question occurred at the Resorts World Hotel in Las Vegas on July 10, shortly after 9 a.m at the gym. It began when Adebayo approached Herro to confront him about his social media remarks criticizing the Heat center.

Herro’s response was enough to receive a physical reaction from Adebayo that saw him punch Herro near his chin. There isn’t an exact specification of how physical the altercation was between the two, but others had to intervene to keep Herro from responding physically.

It’s clear that Herro is looking to move past the matter and focus on his NBA home, where he could quickly become a key part of the franchise’s future playing for his home team.

“I’m ready to come home and not prove everyone wrong,” Herro said, “but just be able to represent the city and the state because I wanted to do that coming out of school as well.”
