Warriors at Clippers Headline Pacific Action

Los Angeles ClippersThe Golden State Warriors are at the Los Angeles Clippers as the top two teams from the NBA Pacific meet on Wednesday night. these two teams really do not like one another. How much is their dislike? Enough that the two teams won’t even attend church together. Look for some techs to be issued in tonight’s game

The Warriors have been a thorn in the side of the Clippers as well. they beat them on Christmas 105-103 and then again on Jan 30th, 111-92. Both of those games were played in Oakland. Perhaps a change to the home court will help the Clippers. Both teams come in on a winning streak. The Clippers have won eight straight games and the Warriors have won five in a row. Another Warriors win would cut the Clippers lead in the division down to three games and give Golden State the tie-breaker advantage over the Clippers. An L. A. win makes it a five game lead with  only 16 to go.

In the only meeting at Staples Center on Halloween night, the Clippers won 126-115 for their first win of the season. maybe the home court in this series does make all the difference. Blake Griffin has been red hot as of late. He scored 37 points in the Clippers most recent win on Monday night over the Phoenix Suns. Griffin is averaging 28 points in the last 23 games and has at least 20 points in all of them. They have been so good that they are even getting some love from one of their biggest critics in the past few seasons, Charles Barkley. Chuck frequently mentions the Clippers now when talking about contenders.

The Warriors have gone on their streak despite their best player, Steph Curry, being a bit banged up. His quad injury has affected his shot to the point he has hit only six three-pointers during the streak. The fact that the Warriors are winning anyway has to make the fans feel good, especially when they win as easily as they did over the Dallas Mavericks in their previous games 108-85. They held Dallas to under 37% on the night.

BetOnline has the odds on tonight’s Pacific Division games:

Golden State at L. A. Clippers– The Warriors are +6.5 -110 and the Clippers are -6.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Golden State +245 and the Clippers -290. We like the Clippers -290 but we will also take the Warriors +6.5 -110 to beat the spread. These two normally play a close game.

Cleveland at Phoenix– The Cavs are +8.5 -110 and the Suns are -8.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Cleveland +325 and Phoenix -385. We are going with the Suns -8.5 -110 in this one.

Sacramento at Philadelphia– The Kings are -8.5 -110 and the Sixers are +8.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Sacramento -440 and Philly +365. The Sixers have lost 17 in a row so we will go with the Kings -8.5 -110 in this one.
