Warriors Eliminate Nuggets; Will Now Play Spurs

So, we finally have a second round matchup in the NBA Playoffs. The San Antonio Spurs will face the Golden State Warriors after what is a bit of an upset with the sixth seeded Warriors knocking out the three seed Denver Nuggets on Thursday.  Things did not look good after Game One when the Nuggets not only beat the Warriors, but the Warriors also lost All-Star David Lee for what was supposed to be the season.

But Stephen Curry took over from there and was spectacular the rest of the series, despite playing on a sprained ankle. He led the warriors with 22 points in Game Six. Andrew Bogut paid off with his biggest game as a Warrior with 14 points and 21 rebounds as the Warrior held off the Nuggets who rallied in the fourth quarter for the 92-88 win to clinch the series.

The Warriors will now move on to face the Spurs who have been waiting around since they finished off a four game sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers last Sunday.

BetDSI still has the Warriors at +10000 to win the NBA Championship. The Spurs are +450. The Spurs should be favored, but that is very lopsided. Series lines haven’t come out yet, but when they do, a bet on Golden State might be a wise move.

The warriors will be coming into the series a bit banged up, but they did get David Lee back in the last game. He was limited to a few minutes, but if he gets better from here, they could get a big boost from him. Bogut has been injured all tear, but he appears to be healthy again at just the right time.

And then there is Curry. Some players play their best when the lights are bright. Curry looks to be one of those players. The Warriors will give San Antonio all they can handle.

Luckily for the Spurs, they are also healthy at the right time of the year. Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli and Tim Duncan are all contributing which makes them a dangerous team. This is going to be a good series.
