NCAA Basketball Championship Odds
The NCAA Basketball Championship Odds have been shaken up quite a bit since we last checked in with them mid-month. Now that the month (and the year) is winding down now is a good time to take a look at the futures again.
NCAA Basketball Championship Odds: The Books Are Finally Taking Michigan State Seriously
Michigan State has sat on top of the AP Top 25 all month, though the sports books have been hesitant at embracing the undefeated squad. However, they now sit on top the odds with a +800 moneyline at Bovada. Michigan State is 12-0, having passed every test thrown in front of them this early part of the season. They have been earning wins that the sports books can no longer ignore.
Duke was always a favorite among the sportsbooks this month due to high betting volume alone. They were ranked as the top team in the futures on Dec. 15, while being ranked only No. 8 in the AP 25. However, they have now disappeared form the top ten of the AP poll. They still sit in a pack of three teams tied for sixth place in the future odds.
Both Kansas State and North Carolina have remained virtually unchanged in the futures despite move up and down the AP Top 25. Kansas State is No. 2 in the nation and No. 3 in the odds, while the Tar Heels are No. 7 in the nation but second in the future odds.
Below you will find the future odds, courtesy of Bovada, and the AP Top 25 teams.
