#3 Arizona Bounces Back vs Beavers

The #3 Arizona Wildcats bounced  back from their only loss this season on Thursday to the Oregon Ducks by bouncing the Oregon State Beavers 80-70 in PAC 12 action on Saturday. Mark Lyons and Solomon Hill led the Wildcats with 16 points, Nick Johnson added 14 and Brandon Ashley chipped in 12 as they improved to 15-1, 3-1. Oregon State fell to 10-6, 0-3 and were led by Ahmad Starks with 18 points. Arizona will be at the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday while the Beavers will visit the UCLA Bruins on Thursday.

UCLA beat the Colorado Buffaloes 78-75 on Saturday. The Bruins were led by Travis Wear with 23 points, Jordan Adams chipped in 18 points and Shabazz Muhammad added 14 as the Bruins improved to 14-3 and 4-0 in PAC 12 play. Colorado dropped to 11-5, 1-3. Spencer Dinwiddie led the Buffaloes with 23 points and Askia Booker and Josh Scott chipped in 18 points each.

The Brigham Young Cougars blew out the Santa Clara Broncos in West Coast Conference action on Saturday 82-64. Tyler Haws was 10-14 from the field and scored 24 points to lead BYU who improved to 14-4 and 4-0 in the conference, tying them for first place with the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Brock Zylstra added 15 for the Cougars while Brandon Davies and Matt Carlino chipped in 13 apiece. Santa Clara was led by Kevin Foster with 22 points as they dropped to 12-6, 1-3.

The #25 New Mexico Lobos routed the Fresno State Bulldogs 72-45. Center Alex Kirk led the Lobos with 19 points while Tony Snell and Cameron Bairstow added 16 points each. Marvelle Harris was the lone Bulldog in double figures with 11 points. The Lobos improved to 15-2 and 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference while the Bulldogs fell to 6-9 and 0-2.

The #16 San Diego State Aztecs had to go to overtime to beat the Colorado State Rams 79-72. Chase Tapley, despite having a 101 degree temperature, scored 12 of his 19 points in overtime to help improve the Aztes record to 14-2, 2-0 in the MWC. The Rams fell to 13-3 and 0-1.

The #24 UNLV Runnin Rebels beat the Air Force Falcons 76-71 in overtime in MWC action. Anthony Bennett led the Rebs with 22 points while Bryce Dejean-Jones chipped in 18 points as UNLV ran their record up to 14-3, 1-1. Air Force was led by Mike Fitzgerald with 22 points and Michael Lyons with 19 as the Falcons dipped to 9-5. 1-1.

The Washington Huskies beat the Stanford Cardinal 65-60 on Saturday in PAC 12 action. C.J. Wilcox led the Huskies with 27 points as they improved to 11-5, 3-0 to tie them for first place. The Cardinal fell to 10-7, 1-3 and were led by Dwight Powell with 19 points.

The California Golden Bears beat the Washington State Cougars 67-54 in Pac 12 action. The Bears were led by Tyrone Wallace with 16 points as they improved to 10-6, 2-2. The Cougars dropped to 9-7, 0-3 and were led by Brock Motum with 16 points.
