NCAA Football Semifinals Favorites

We have still got to wait until New Year’s eve for the semi-finals/bowl games that will determine the teams that will be in the NCAA football championship game. However, Alabama are NCAA football semifinals favorites along with Oklahoma in each of their respective bowl games according to the early odds.

Not surprising, the SEC Champions, Alabama are big favorites against Michigan State in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. The Crimson Tide are currently favored by a touchdown and a field goal, listed as -9.5 favorites. Alabama defeated the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship in a lop sided game to secure their spot in the national title tourney.

Michigan State defeated the previously undefeated Iowa to secure its place in the tournament.

Oklahoma does not enjoy as big of a cushion in the odds, however, the game will likely be more popular with bettors because of that. Oklahoma -3.5 favorites over Clemson in the Capital One Orange Bowl.

Clemson is the only undefeated team in the national title tournament.

Both these games will be played on New Year’s Eve with the Cotton Bowl at 4 p.m. ET and the Orange Bowl at 8 p.m. ET. Both games will be on ESPN. The winner of each these games will then meet in the national championship on Monday, Jan. 11.
