Big 12 Final Weekend Picks

All over college football this weekend, it is Championship Game Saturday. In previous year’s it would have also been the case in the Big 12. But not anymore. The Big 12 has a full slate of games this weekend because they no longer have enough teams to split into divisions and hold a championship game. But the conference championship is still on the line today. The Kansas State Wildcats have the top spot as long as they beat the Texas Longhorns. If they fail, the Oklahoma Sooners will have a shot if they can beat the TCU Horned Frogs. Even if K-State wins, the Sooners can still get an at-large BCS Bowl berth with a win. That would likely put them in the Sugar Bowl against the Florida Gators. Here is the odds on today’s Big 12 games on Oddsmaker.

Oklahoma at TCU- OU is -6-110 or -245. TCU is +6 -110 or  +245. Over/under is 89. We like Oklahoma -6 and the over. But we would not be at all shocked at a TCU upset.

Oklahoma State at Baylor-  OSU is trying to lock down the bid to the Alamo Bowl. Baylor is looking at a trip to the Meineke Bowl in Houston. A Baylor win might flip those two. The Cowboys are -5 -110 or -200. The Bears are +5 -110 or +170. Over/under is 89.  We like Baylor +170 and we’ll take the under.

Texas at Kansas State– Texas is +11 -110 or +320. Kansas State is -11 -110 or -400. Over/under is 63. We like Kansas State to win, but we’ll take Texas +11 and the over. Kansas State has a lot at stake in this game. They will be ready. But Texas wants to lock down a Cotton Bowl bid to get a shot at their archrival Texas A&M Aggies. They’ll show up too.

Kansas at West Virginia- Kansas is the only team in the conference that won’t be going to a bowl. They will complete an 0-9 conference season under Charlie Weiss. The Jayhawks are +20 -110. West Virgnia is +20. Over/under is 72. We’ll go with WVU -20 and the under.
