NCAAB Preview: Arkansas @ Kentucky
Arkansas has upset Kentucky once this season, and they could definitely do it again. Â Last month the Razorbacks picked up a big win against the Wildcats when Michael Qualls slammed the ball into the basket to give Arizona the overtime win.
The No. 17 Wildcats led by the nation’s favorite coach John Calipari definitely remember the sequence of events that led to that loss and are going to do everything in their power to not let it happen again.
Helping Kentucky out will be the fact that the Razorbacks have not won on Kentucky soil since the 1993-94 season. Â Since then they have lost nine straight when visiting the Wildcats.
None-the-less, given Qualls’ high flying save, dunking the ball off a missed three-pointer to lift his team over the Wildcats 87-85 back in January, was such a highlight that Arkansas doing it again seems plausible to say the least. Â
Qualls is not just a one-highlight kind of player.  He has an impressive highlight reel this season.  In the Kentucky game he scored 18 points.  However, we would not be surprised if Kentucky tries to completely shut down Qualls in this game just based on principle alone. Â
Kentucky is coming off a win.  It was another overtime game, this time they won 77-76 against LSU. Â
Arkansas is riding a wave of momentum as well.  They have won five of their last six game. The Razorbacks still have a shot at heading to the NCAA tournament and another big win over Kentucky will put them one step closer to the top 25.     Â
Kentucky is the -10.5 favorites to win this game. Â The game starts at 7 p.m. and you can watch it on ESPN.
