NFC East: Week 6 Trends and Odds Preview
Though the Dallas Cowboys put up an impressive fight against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, the NFC East is still one of the worst divisions in football. There are few teams worse in the league than the 0-5 New York Giants, who have struggled on defense and offense, with QB Eli Manning throwing 12 picks so far this season.
“The guy is trying to play the best he can,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “He’s certainly trying to do too much. He knows his team and he knows his responsibility. He’s an extremely accountable guy and he’s going to do everything he possibly can. Sometimes it’s not to be done that way.”
The Giants will get a Chicago Bears team at home on Thursday night, and the odds are certainly not in the G-Men’s favor, who are predicted to lose by over a touchdown.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, have had no problem scoring, losing a 51-48 shootout with the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
“So you leave this game and obviously you are crushed and disappointed,” said tight end Jason Witten, who had 121 yards and a TD in the match. “Offensively, this needs to be the standard by which we play.”
