NFL News: Adrian Peterson In No Rush To Sign With A New Team
Arguably one of the greatest running backs in NFL history remains unemployed well into the free agency period. Adrian Peterson is no longer with the Minnesota Vikings and is currently looking for his next team, but no one seems to be jumping at the opportunity to sign the future Hall of Famer.
Although interest in Peterson’s services isn’t as high as he or anyone else anticipated, the veteran back isn’t panicking or overly concerned about not having a new team at this point. Peterson took to Twitter and Instagram to address rumors and speculation surrounding his future in the NFL:

Peterson has been linked to many different teams over the past few weeks. Even re-signing with the Vikings seemed to be a realistic possibility at one point, but nothing ever came to fruition while other veteran backs in the league got new jobs.
The Oakland Raiders seemed to be a good fit for Peterson with the team passing on re-signing Latavius Murray who ironically landed with the Vikings. Peterson playing behind the solid offensive line in Oakland while also contributing to a legitimate Super Bowl title contender made a lot of sense, but now it appears the Raiders may be more focused on bringing Marshawn Lynch out of retirement.
The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks also seemed to be potential destinations for Peterson. Seattle was crossed off the list after they signed former Packer Eddie Lacy. Green Bay remains a possibility, but want to see how the NFL Draft unfolds considering it is a deep draft of backs.
In the meantime, Peterson will continue to remain in limbo with no telling where he might end up when the dust settles.
