NFL Sunday Betting: Pats Vs. Steelers

Both New England and Pittsburgh need to bounce back from upsets they suffered last week making for some interesting NFL Sunday betting.

This is not the season that either the Pats or the Steelers had in mind. Both teams started the season at the top of the Super Bowl futures, the Steelers are now in danger of missing the playoffs. The Pats sit at 9-4, but it is a disappointing record considering expectations for the team.

It is not just their straight up records that are disappointing. The Pats have covered in 8 games this season, but last week one of those covers came with a devastating loss to the Dolphins after the 69-yard Miami Miracle touchdown. The Steelers have only covered in six games this season and were on top of the AFC North just three weeks ago. Last week they were upset by Oakland 24-21, they were 10.5-point favorites.

The Pats are -2.5-point favorites in this game. Pittsburgh are 3-0 against the spread as underdogs. However, historically the Pats own the Steelers. The Steelers have not beat New England in five years.
