NFL Wild Card Betting Update: Falcons @ Rams

With game time approaching, the Wild Card betting odds are settling in and the Falcons and Rams point spread is not likely to change much more.

The odds opened with the Rams are big favorites, near 8 points at some books. The odds settled as the Rams as -6-point favorites a couple days ago and that is where Bovada still has it set. However, other books have lowered the Rams odds to -5.

Atlanta is 10-6 straight up, covering in seven of those games. Los Angeles is 11-5 straight up and have covered in nine of those contests.

The big trend bettors have been looking at all week, though, is Atlanta’s dismal road record. They are 0-4 straight up and against the spread in playoff games. This is without mentioning three prolific away game losses this season against New England, the Panthers and Saints.

The total for this game is set at 48 points. Atlanta averages by 22 points per game. However, against current playoff teams this season they only average around 15 points. Couple that with the Rams’ history of struggling offensively and we could see a low-scoring affair.
