AFC East Clash; Patriots vs Dolphins for the First Time This Season

We are 12 weeks into the NFL regular season. There are five weeks to go. The AFC East has all but been decided with the New England Patriots leading the division at 8-3 and on a five game win streak while the rest of the division is under .500. So it is a bit of a shame that the Miami Dolphins have not gotten a shot at the Patriots yet this season. Miami is the Patriots closest competition in the East at 5-6. They are still in the hunt for the last AFC Wild Card spot, only a game behind in that race, So this is still a big deal for them. But for the Pats, the only thing they are in contention for is a first round bye. You’d like to see the top two teams in a division meet at least once with the division still up for grabs.

Oddsmaker has the Patriots -7.5 -125 or -400. Miami is +7.5 +105 or +320. Over/under is 51. We are going with the Patriots – 7.5. In fact, we are going with them until they lose the rest of the way. We’ll also take the under.

The Arizona Cardinals visit the New York Jets in what should be a stinker of a game. But with two awful teams going at it, sometimes you get a great game. The Cardinals are +4.5 -110 or +185 while the Jets are -4.5 -110 or -225. The Over/under is 37. We’ll take the over just because it’s so low and we’ll take Arizona with the points.

Speaking of stinkers, the Jacksonville Jaguars are at the Buffalo Bills. The Jags are coming off a win last week and an overtime loss two weeks ago at the Houston Texans. So it may be possible they  have found something. They’ve been better on the road than at home all season too.  The Jags are +6 -110 or +230. The Bills are -6 -110 or -270. Over/under is 45. We are going with Jacksonville +6 and the over.
