Arizona Cardinals Meet With Nick Bosa in Florida

Another twist has been added to the upcoming NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals. On Friday, the leadership of the Cardinals dined with defensive end Nick Bosa in south Florida, said a league source.

After talk that for the last couple of months linking the Cardinals with quarterback Kyler Murray, the dinner on Friday in Fort Lauderdale with Ohio State’s Bosa shows that Arizona has not yet made a final decision on who to draft.

Arizona holds the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Bosa is listed by many NFL pundits and analysts as the No. 1 prospect available in the draft.

The Cardinals met previously with Murray, who is the favorite for many analysts to be drafted No. 1. New Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury and Steve Keim the general managers met with Murray last week in Oklahoma.

The same agent represents Kingsbury and Murray, while Bill Davis, who currently coaches linebackers with the Cardinals, coached Bosa in the same capacity with the Buckeyes.

The decision the Cardinals make could be franchise altering. If Arizona select Murray they would likely trade second year quarterback Josh Rosen, who was picked No. 10 overall in last year’s draft by the Cardinals.

It has been reported that during the recent NFL combine some teams in the NFL made overtures about the availability of Rosen.

Bosa is considered the best available pass rusher in the NFL draft. Bosa’s older brother Joey is a defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers and both Joey and their father John were picked in the first round of the NFL draft.
