Bengals star wide receive Tee Higgins finally signs with Cincinnati
After months of uncertainty, Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Tee Higgins has signed his franchise tag.
“I’m excited to move forward with Tee,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor said in a statement. “He’s done a great job handling his situation, and we are happy to get him back in the fold so we can start working toward a great 2024 season via ESPN. The locker room will be excited to have him back around.”
Higgins is set to make $21.8 million for the 2024 season, and the two sides still have plenty of time to work out a lengthy extension before the July 15 deadline.
Since entering the league, Higgins has been a highly dependable and productive asset. In his first four campaigns, he has totaled 3,684 receiving yards and touchdowns.
Despite missing five games due to a hamstring injury, he recorded 42 receptions for 656 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Higgins has proven himself to be a highly dependable option and a big-play asset. His pairing alongside Pro Bowler Ja’Marr Chase gives the Bengals one of the best young wide receiver tandems.

He has developed a strong rapport with star quarterback Joe Burrow, who has spoken highly of his longtime wideout.
“Tee and I are always talking,” Burrow said. “I’ve seen Tee several times this offseason. He looks great. Whenever he’s ready to come back, I’ll be excited to see him.”
The attention now shifts to Chase, who reportedly is looking for a lucrative extension. He attended mandatory minicamp, but his contract remains the lingering issue surrounding the Bengals.
