Bills star Von Miller states he will be ready for Week 1
Since Buffalo Bills star outside linebacker Von Miller suffered a torn ACL on Thanksgiving last year, he’s targeted a return for the 2023 season.
Miller took a step further by guaranteeing that he will be ready for Week 1 action on Sept. 11 against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

“You know I love guarantees,” Miller told Channel 9NEWS in Denver on Thursday “It’s me. It’s Von. I love guarantees. I want to play. In 2013, I had [ACL] surgery in January and I played at the beginning of August in the preseason. So that put me around seven months, eight months.
“And 10 years removed from that, 2023, I have a whole new outlook. I know exactly where I’m supposed to be at two months, four months, six months and in the position where I’m at now. I feel great, I feel comfortable. I feel like I’ll be ready to go at the start of the season.”
The Bills are hoping that Miller can return to form to play at an elite that earned him a six-year, $120 million deal last offseason. Prior to the injury, he recorded eight sacks, 21 total tackles, and one forced fumble in 11 games.

Although Miller is eyeing a return for the season opener, the team should temper expectations for his performance due to the severity of the injury. The Bills will likely carefully ease him back into the fold through training camp and increase his playing time progressively as the preseason moves along.
