Despite the fact the Broncos have been involved in these rumors for weeks now, Drew Lock hasn’t been fazed by the constant speculation as he is solely focused on getting better ahead of the 2021 NFL season, via Pro Football Talk.
“Believe it or not, no,†Lock said, via Michael Spencer of KCNC. “It was not because I decided I was going to develop a plan in this offseason. There were going to be really long days, but it was going to be worth every single second of it because regardless of what happened — if I stayed here or if I left or they brought someone in — my mindset was not going to change. Wherever I went or if I stayed here, I was going to be the guy. I put every single ounce I had into that this offseason and being able to do that gave me zero time to listen to all this stuff.â€

At this point, there’s no telling what the future will hold for Lock, let alone Rodgers. Lock was already in for an uncertain stretch after Denver made a trade with the Carolina Panthers to acquire quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Now the situation in Denver has gotten even more confusing. Rodgers coming in is still a possibility. Lock or Bridgewater could potentially be heading to Green Bay at some point before the start of the upcoming season.
In the meantime, Lock seems to have the right mindset to control what he can control and focus on improving.
