Browns superstar Odell Beckham Jr. plans to bring ‘many championships’ to Cleveland

The Cleveland Browns are coming off an encouraging 2018 season that saw them take several strides forward on the field toward near playoff contention.

The franchise has continued to revamp the roster in the offseason that includes the addition of All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. It hasn’t taken long for Beckham Jr. to voice his confidence in the new-look Browns to find success next season, according to Cam Wolf of GQ Magazine.

“I plan on being there for the next five years and trying to bring as many championships there as possible, turning [the Browns] into the new Patriots,” he told GQ.

There is plenty of optimism around the Browns to make that next leap in 2019. They have filled the roster with more proven talent such as Beckham Jr., Olivier Vernon, and Kareem Hunt to the mix, while quarterback Baker Mayfield showed much promise with his play in his rookie campaign. This has elevated playoff expectations upon them next year.

However, their eyes are locked on much more than that as the New England Patriots are the gold standard in the NFL with their continued success over nearly the last two decades. The Patriots are coming off yet another Super Bowl win that they should once again be in contention in 2019.

Ultimately, Beckham Jr. and the Browns will have the chance to prove that on the field in the coming months. All this chatter and optimism will either be met with fulfilled expectations or more disappointment that the organization is all too familiar with.
