Bucs’ Ndamukong Suh praises Antonio Brown for living up to expectations

Few star players in the NFL have had a tougher and more controversial time over the last couple of years than veteran wide receiver Antonio Brown of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Everyone thought his career in the league was over. However 32-year-old surprised everyone by rejoining Tom Brady and winning his first Super Bowl.

Although Brown made headlines on a daily basis for all the wrong reasons before landing in Tampa Bay, the veteran wideout was able to get back on track, and Ndamukong Suh praises his teammate for being able to keep it together via Pro Football Talk.

“Good dude, always had a great relationship with him. So for me, it was easy,” Suh said. “Obviously, ‘BA’ [Bruce Arians] was very public with what his expectations were for AB, and he followed through. So I give him all the credit for doing that. And I think that’s really all he needed, was to understand what was expected of him. That’s really what 90 percent of people in the world [want] — give me the expectations of what you need from me and then let me go and be an adult. And that’s really what he did.”

Antonio Brown wasn’t the superstar receiver most remember him being with the Steelers while with the Buccaneers this past season. He wasn’t the major draw for opposing defenses. Although he did enough to make an impact and help Brady win a seventh Super Bowl title.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out from here as Brown will be a free agent. He has expressed a desire to stay with the Buccaneers, and they may take him up on the prospect of staying together for at least another season with Brady under center.
