Colts’ Jonathan Taylor Gets Blunt About His Uncertain Future

The Indianapolis Colts have been one of the most active teams in the NFL ahead of the trade deadline, as it seems there’s a fire sale going on ahead of Nov. 10.

Indianapolis has struggled during the 2026 campaign, sporting a 2-6 record heading into Week 9 and little hope of a turnaround.

With the Colts seemingly ready to start from scratch and sell off any players of value, the attention has turned to star running back Jonathan Taylor, who is arguably the team’s best trade asset ahead of the NFL trade deadline and has constantly been mentioned in rumors over the past few weeks.

As a result of the constant speculation about Taylor’s situation, the star running back has opened up about his uncertain future in Indianapolis, via ESPN.

“No one wants uncertainty,” Taylor said Thursday, adding, “Until the past couple weeks, it’s kind of been the same thing. But it won’t be until Tuesday at [4 p.m.] where you’ll know exactly what’s going on, you’ll know exactly what the verdict is.”

It remains to be seen if Taylor ends up getting moved, as there’s no shortage of interest in his services, especially considering he’s still playing at an elite level and a back of his caliber could be a game-changer for a title contender or a team trying to be in the Super Bowl contending conversation.

Only time will tell how things pan out for the Colts, but it may be a foregone conclusion that Taylor is playing in another uniform heading into Week 10.
