Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirms Odell Beckham Jr. will meet with the team

The Dallas Cowboys are pushing closer toward a playoff berth after another impressive win, toppling the Minnesota Vikings in a convincing fashion.

The Cowboys get more fuel to the fire as WR Odell Beckham Jr. is nearing a decision on where he will play next. Reports over the weekend suggest that he will choose a team after Thanksgiving.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones further corroborated that notion by stating that he plans on meeting with the former Pro Bowl wideout to discuss the possibility of him joining Dallas.

“We’re planning to get together,” Jones said, via video from Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. “Certainly it’s time for us to sit down and visit.”

Dallas has long been reported as one of the serious suitors to land the star wide receiver alongside the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and Buffalo Bills. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams have faded out of the picture due to their seemingly freefall out of playoff contention.

Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons has publicly recruited Beckham, with the two exchanging pleasantries via Twitter. The three-time Pro Bowler has remained without a team since tearing his ACL in Super Bowl 56.

Beckham remains one of the game’s most-talent offensive playmakers, heightening the Cowboys’ desire to add a game-changing talent. Last season, he demonstrated that he could immediately step in as a huge offensive factor in Los Angeles.

All indications make it quite evident that Dallas will have a strong chance to land the star wideout.
