Cowboys Reveal Their Plan for Quinnen Williams With Eye-Popping New Deal
The Dallas Cowboys secured a key piece of their future after agreeing to a three-year, $105.9 million deal with star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
The contract includes $101 million guaranteed, along with $63.35 million guaranteed at signing. His $35.3 million average annual salary over the extension marks the second-highest among defensive tackles.
He only trails Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Carter, who signed a massive contract last month that put him at $38 million per season.
Before the new deal, the 28-year-old was playing under a four-year, $96 million extension that ran through 2027. Williams is now secured for the long haul in Dallas, where he will serve as a pivotal part of the team’s defensive front.
The Cowboys had acquired him before last season’s trade deadline in exchange for a 2026 second-round selection, a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith. Williams quickly made an impact with Dallas, recording 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, and 33 quarterback pressures in seven games.
The Cowboys are hoping that Williams can play a huge part in their revamped defense. He has showcased plenty of promise throughout his career, earning four Pro Bowl selections and a First-Team All-Pro (2022) nod.

Dallas spent most of the offseason adding pieces to the defense. In this year’s draft, they selected Ohio State safety Caleb Downs at the 11th overall pick and UCF edge rusher Malachai Lawrence at 23rd overall.
The Cowboys also added edge rusher Rashan Gary, cornerback Cobie Durant, and safety Jalen Thompson through free agency.
