Cowboys reacts to George Pickens’ comments to Richard Sherman
After the Dallas Cowboys fell short against the Detroit Lions, star wide receiver George Pickens found himself in the middle of a social media beef with Richard Sherman.
It began with Sherman’s criticism of Pickens, who seemed “disengaged” and “uninterested” during Thursday’s game.
Pickens on Friday took to social media on Friday in a post that he later deleted, stating, “it’s funny cause I thought former players would know that,” and added another shot at Sherman, “WHO BTW AINT SHH WITHOUT THE LEGION OF BOOM.”
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer voiced that he would speak to Pickens about the incident.
“I’m aware of what was supposedly put out there,” Schottenheimer said Friday via ESPN. “I’ve not talked to him yet. I understand it’s been taken down, but I will be talking to him, just checking on him. Again, this is unfortunately things that we deal with in this profession. But I have not spoken to him, but I will.”
He also added that he didn’t see any lack of effort from the 24-year-old after rewatching the film. In the loss, he recorded five catches on nine targets for 37 receiving yards and no touchdowns. It marked his second-lowest yardage total of the season, and only the second time he’s failed to reach 50 receiving yards.

Beyond that, the loss puts the Cowboys’ playoff hopes in a tougher spot, falling two games back in the loss column with a month left in the regular season. Dallas heads into Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings.
