Cowboys star Micah Parsons knows Eagles fans hate him for Jalen Hurts comments
Dallas Cowboys star outside linebacker Micah Parsons isn’t new to the spotlight around him due to his stellar play.
However, Parsons’ words regarding Jalen Hurts have garnered significant attention ahead of the two team’s matchup on Christmas Eve. During a recent interview on Von Miller’s ‘Voncast” podcast, he stated that he believed the Philadelphia Eagles’ success with Hurts under center was more the system and the team than the former Oklahoma product’s play.

Since then, Parsons acknowledged that he will only garner more hatred from the Eagles’ fan base while sticking firm with his stance.
“I mean, you’ve got to stand on everything you say just as a man, but obviously, they small-clipped it and took one line of what was really talked about,” Parsons said via ESPN. “But no pun intended or no disrespect to Hurts, I think he’s doing great this year. But you know me, I’m a defensive guy and I said the Eagles’ defense is the team to watch. They just got helluva players over there that’s been making plays all year, so from a defensive aspect, I know how offensive guys get all the credit, so I just want to stick up for the defensive guys because the conversation was most valuable player, is it just quarterback?”
Parsons isn’t disrespecting Hurts’ talent but doesn’t believe he should be in the conversation for the regular season MVP award. The Eagles quarterback has put together a strong third campaign, posting 3,157 passing yards, 22 touchdowns to three interceptions, along with 686 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns through 13 games.
