Cowboys vs Saints Odds and Pick
The New Orleans Saints face the Dallas Cowboys in the Sunday Night game this week. This is a huge game for both sides as they are both hanging on to division leads in the NFC.
These two teams seem to face off every year in a huge game with playoff implications and this year is no exception. The Cowboys are 5-4 and leading the NFC East division. The are desperate to get away from the .500 mark that have been joined to for 265 games now. In fact, if they lose tonight, they will be 133-133 in their last 266 games. If they lose they will find themselves in a tie with the Philadelphia Eagles who beat the Green Bay Packers earlier today.
The Saints are coming off a loss to the New York Jets a week ago. They lost Darren Sproles in the game to a concussion, Marcus Colston was out with a sprained knee and later Jimmie Graham went out after a hard hit. That left Drew Brees with few weapons and suddenly the explosive Saints offense was grounded. But the good news for Saints fans is Colston and Graham will be back tonight.
This game should be a very entertaining one, especially if the Cowboys defense picks this week to lay down. We could see both teams crack 40 points in this one.
The Saints have their eyes on the game going on late today between the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers. The Panthers trail the Saints by one game in the NFC South and will play them twice in the next three weeks. A Panthers win won’t be all bad news though as the Saints and Niners are locked in a tight battle with the Seattle Seahawks for the top spot in the NFC. The Niners are 6-2 and a loss would put them behind the Saints if the Saints beat Dallas. That would put New Orleans behind only Seattle at 9-1 for the top NFC spot.
Bookmaker has the odds on tonight’s game:
Dallas at New Orleans– Dallas is +6 -110 and the Saints are -6 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Dallas +210 and the Saints -250. Over/Under is 54 with both over and under -110.
While we like the Cowboys a lot, we just cannot get past the fact that they are seemingly tied to the .500 mark. Until they can finally break free from it we just do not trust them. To have to beat the Saints in New Orleans to do it just seems like too much to ask. So we are going to go with Brees and the Saints to win a shootout. But will the Saints beat the spread? No. Dallas will keep this thing close all the way. We like the final score to be Saints 44 Cowboys 40.
So bet Cowboys +6 -110, Saints -250 and the over -110.
